Our History

Mayceys origins can be traced back to 1875

Joseph Stacey began making confectionery and medicated pastilles under the name Stacey Bros Ltd, with its first shop on Queen St, later the site of Auckland’s Civic Theatre. Renamed in 1928, Mayceys moved to its first factory in Khyber Pass, Auckland, producing iconic sweets like Pink Smokers and Gloharts, which remain popular today. In the 1950s, the company relocated to Clark St in New Lynn, where it still operates. As a proudly family-owned business, Mayceys continues to manufacture high-quality lollies, including gummies and boiled sweets, supplying over 1,600 outlets nationwide in New Zealand.
